Take one piece from this and your life will be easier. People usually don't ask the leader to emote. Just be assertive, get 2 or 3 people that you know in the group. When the 4th shows up, make him emote. Continue from there.

Hence the 'in my opinion'.
What I meant by that was, when I do get to play a Build, my other team-mates tend to praise and say I did good. :$

Well, praise is always good .

Often, the best way to get into a decent (non-IWAY) team is to give them a skill list to show you know what you're talking about. Also, just about every good group out there uses Vent/TS.

I agree. I remember this one group leader gave me a skill list, and what to do. We were given an outline as to what the offence would do, what the monks would do, strategies on maps, and whatever. Doing that gives the player some faith that the leader knows what they're talking about (and they probably do)! That person is still on my friends list, and I'd join a group of his any day.

Here's a couple things you can do to get away from the rank thing. First, don't look for teams in the heavy traffic districts. Tombs 1 America, every team is asking for rank pretty much; I don't play international districts, but it looks to be about the same.
Second, pick a class that people are *desperate* to find. If I just want to jump into a group and play, I have a Tainted Necro that I play with IWAY groups. I'm only rank 2, but I regularly get taken into rank 3+ or even 6+ IWAY groups, because necros are hard enough to find that they'll take just about anybody that has a halfway decent amount of experience. Which is kind of ironic, actually, since playing an IWAY warrior is pretty easy, you can pick it up really fast and don't need rank 3, or certainly not 6, to play it, whereas playing the necros is much more challenging. Go figure
Anyway, IWAY aside, the same thing applies to other groups. If you go in as a warrior, you will probably not be able to sneak into a ranked group; if you're a monk or mesmer, you might be able to, because they're harder to find.
Finally, if possible, go with your guild, or, barring that, another guild group. I've found that my tombs experiences (save one or two) have been significantly better when I have gone with a guild, regardless of rank.

Rank Ranting has become quite an artform here. Lets not rehash the same old stuff again please.
